Arduino CNC mill

There are more and more successful home made CNC-mill and 3D printers. I'd like to make one using Arduino, which is the micro-controller that I am familiar with. Amazingly I could find a deserted manually controlled X-Y stage for optical experiment in the surplus warehouse of my department. I want to revive it and turn it into a CNC mill controlled by Arduino. (details about hardware and code are to come...)
